We are looking for talented and passionate Social Media Content Creator to join our team in Nairobi and help take our digital presence to the next level.

The Role

We are seeking an energetic, highly creative, and digitally savvy content creator who lives and breathes social media.

You should be the type of person who spots trends before they go viral, understands what makes audiences engage, and knows how to turn everyday moments into compelling content.

This is a full-time position based in Nairobi and will involve regular travel to Petzone stores, activations, and events to capture content and bring the brand to life across our digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, and emerging social media platforms.
• Film and edit short-form video content, including Reels, TikToks, Stories, and promotional videos.
• Capture content in Petzone stores, at events, and with customers and their pets.
• Identify and adapt social media trends for the Petzone brand.
• Work closely with the marketing team to execute content calendars and campaigns.
• Develop fresh content ideas that drive engagement, community growth, and sales.
• Assist with photography, video production, and creative content planning.
• Maintain consistency in Petzone’s brand voice, tone, and visual identity.

Requirements

Essential

• Based in Nairobi.
• Strong passion for social media and digital content creation.
• Excellent video editing skills using platforms such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software.
• Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and current social media trends.
• Creative mindset with excellent storytelling abilities.
• Comfortable appearing on camera when required.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine love for animals and an understanding of pet culture.

Advantageous

• Photography skills.
• Graphic design experience.
• Experience managing social media accounts for brands.
• Knowledge of influencer marketing.
• Understanding of social media analytics and performance reporting.
• Experience in paid social media advertising.
