Commercial Data & Inventory Analyst Intern
Support the business by analysing sales, inventory, and product performance data to help management make informed, data-driven decisions. Identify trends, reduce stock risks, and improve inventory efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly reports on stock movement, slow-moving items, fast-moving items, stockouts, and products nearing expiry.
- Analyse monthly sales performance by product, category, supplier, branch, and channel.
- Identify top-performing, underperforming, and non-moving products.
- Monitor inventory health, stock ageing, and expiry risks.
- Assist with demand forecasting and inventory planning.
- Develop and maintain dashboards using Excel and Power BI.
- Support management with commercial insights and recommendations.
- Conduct basic competitor pricing and product range analysis.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements & Skills
- Degree or Diploma in Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, Economics, Commerce, or a related field.
- Strong Excel skills and numerical ability.
- Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
